The unit showed up with almost new condition, which was better than I expected from a marketplace-style listing. Setup was straightforward: it needed a restart after the first update. The Siri Remote stands out the most to me, while the Thread support makes it feel nicer than the older device it replaced. For the money, it does what I needed. There were a couple of tiny marks if I looked closely, but nothing that bothered me during normal use. The first thing I noticed was the snappy interface. The second thing I noticed was the Siri Remote, which made it feel more premium than I expected. Setup was not complicated because it was ready before the popcorn was done. I did still have to run updates, sign into apps, and adjust a few settings. That part was normal and not a complaint. It felt like a good value without feeling like a bargain-bin item. For daily use, the Thread support has been more important than I thought it would be. I also like the Dolby Vision because it makes the product easier to fit into my routine. My family noticed the upgrade right away, which is usually the real test in our house. The packaging was basic but protective enough. Nothing smelled weird, nothing felt sticky, and the main surfaces were clean. The only minor drawback is that remote is easy to misplace. Another small issue is that a few ads in the interface, but I knew there could be tradeoffs at this price. The best parts are good value, picture looks sharp, and fast menus.
