I bought this MacBook Air 13-inch M4 (2025) - 16 GB RAM as a fictional sample marketplace purchase for coding practice. The first thing I checked was the condition, and I would describe it as minor scratches on the bottom. The screen was easy to inspect under a lamp, and I did not notice anything distracting while using it. The keyboard felt even and responsive, which matters to me because I type a lot. The trackpad still has that smooth MacBook feel and clicks normally across the surface. Performance from the M4 chip has been solid for my normal routine. I keep several browser tabs open, use mail, stream music, and jump into video calls without much trouble. The 16 GB RAM configuration is enough for my use, although heavy multitasking can still remind you of the limits. I would not buy this expecting it to be a gaming laptop or a high-end editing machine. For everyday work, it feels quick and polished. The battery life was better than I expected for a used unit. I did run updates after setup, and that took a little while. After the updates finished, the laptop settled down and ran smoothly. The speakers are better than most Windows laptops I have owned in this price range. The webcam is fine for meetings, not amazing, but totally acceptable. I liked that it arrived reset and ready for a normal setup process. Packaging was not fancy, but it protected the computer well. There were a couple of small cosmetic marks, but they did not affect anything. The lower price was a big reason I chose it over buying new. I think the value depends on expectations: it is still a used laptop, not a sealed one. Overall, I am happy with it and would recommend it to someone who wants a reliable MacBook without paying full retail.
