The screen was clean and the keyboard works perfectly though, so I decided to keep it since I got it for a good price. The keys are comfortable to type on and the backlight works great. It's a keyboard. It types letters. The trackpad moves the cursor. Does it do these things well? Sure. Does it do them $300 well? Debatable. I got mine open box for $160 and at that price I'm happy. The material on the outside is a dust magnet and the white version gets dirty fast. I wish Apple would make this in a darker color that hides wear better. The typing angle is comfortable and the keys have a nice feel. The hinge is sturdy. Overall it's a good product at the wrong price.

I wanted to love this. I really did. I saved up for months to buy this keyboard because I wanted to turn my iPad into a laptop replacement for college. And it's... fine. The keyboard feels nice to type on and the trackpad works well enough. But there are some things that bug me. First, the viewing angle. You can't adjust it very much. It's basically one angle — slightly tilted back. If you're in a brightly lit coffee shop or sitting by a window, you're going to get glare and there's not much you can do about it. Second, the weight. My iPad Pro is supposed to be portable but with this thing attached it's heavier than my roommate's MacBook Air. Third, the price. I paid $299 and honestly I feel like I overpaid. The materials are nice but they show wear quickly. The outside of mine already has some scuffs and I've only had it for a few months. I also wish the keyboard had more shortcut keys. There's no escape key (you have to use the software one or remap it), no screen brightness keys, no media controls. For $300 I expect a full keyboard layout. I'm keeping it because I need a keyboard for my classes and it does work, but I can't say I'm happy with the value. If you can find one used or refurbished for under $200, go for it. At full price, I'd think twice.

I've been using this for about 2 months. It does what it's supposed to do. The keyboard is responsive and the trackpad works. But I just don't think it's worth what Apple charges. The viewing angle is fixed in one position basically, and if you're someone who likes to use your iPad in different positions (on the couch, in bed, on a plane), this thing is awkward. It's really only comfortable on a desk. Also the price is just silly. I got mine as a gift so I can't complain too much, but I wouldn't buy it myself.

Got this refurbished for $180 and for that price it's amazing. The condition was better than expected — just a couple tiny scuffs on the back that you can't see when it's on the iPad. The keys feel great and the trackpad is way better than I thought it would be. At full price I'd probably give it 3 stars but for under $200 it's a steal. If you can find one at a lower price, grab it.
