The sound quality and ANC were excellent. But unfortunately the fit just didn't work for my ears. The new tip design kept slipping out of my left ear no matter which size I tried. I really wanted to keep them but I couldn't justify $250 for earbuds that don't stay in. I returned them and got the Pro 2 which fit me better. If the fit works for you, these are fantastic earbuds. Try before you buy.

I wanted to love these but I have mixed feelings. The sound quality is really good and the ANC is impressive. But the fit is just not right for my ears. I've tried all the included tips and none of them create a proper seal. Without a good seal the ANC doesn't work well and the bass sounds weak. I've tried third party foam tips which help a bit but not completely. My husband has the same pair and they fit him perfectly. I think it really depends on your ear shape. Try them before you buy if you can.

The earbuds are great. Sound quality is excellent, ANC is top notch, and they're comfortable. But the new case is noticeably bigger than the previous gen. It doesn't fit in the small pocket of my jeans anymore and it's bulkier in my pocket overall. The speaker and lanyard loop add useful functionality but I wish they'd kept the same form factor. If you carry your AirPods in a bag it's fine, but if you keep them in your pocket it's worth noting.

These are good earbuds. The ANC works well, the sound is clear, and they pair seamlessly with Apple devices. But $249 is a lot of money for something that'll end up in a drawer in two years when the battery degrades. I've seen refurbished units go for $170 and honestly that's a fairer price. The MagSafe charging is nice but slow. The ear tip test in the settings says I have a good seal but they still feel like they're going to fall out sometimes. I'm keeping them because I lost my old ones, but I wouldn't buy them again at full price.

I've been using these for about a month and the battery life is not what Apple advertised. They claim 7 hours with ANC off but I'm getting maybe 5.5 hours with mixed use. The case charges them fine and the MagSafe charging works well. Sound quality is good, ANC is effective. But for $250 I expected better battery performance. My friend's Pro 2s actually last longer. I'm keeping them because returning would be a hassle but I'm not thrilled.
