I don't know, I guess I expected more from Apple. The sound is good but not mind-blowing. The fit is okay but not great. The battery is fine but not amazing. Everything about these is just... fine. For $180 I wanted something that felt premium in every way. Instead I got earbuds that are good but not great. The MagSafe case is nice I guess. I'm keeping them because they work but I'm not thrilled about it.

Look, they sound fine. They connect easily. They're AirPods. But I honestly don't think they're worth what Apple charges. The fit is a bit loose in my ears — they never feel super secure, and I'm always worried one is going to fall out. I tried running with them and had to push them back in constantly. The sound quality is decent but nothing amazing. My friend's $60 earbuds sound almost as good. The MagSafe case is nice I guess but that's not enough to justify the price. I expected more for what these cost.

If you already have AirPods 2nd Gen, don't bother upgrading. The sound is slightly better and spatial audio is cool for about 5 minutes but honestly it's not a huge difference. The fit is actually worse for me — the 2nd Gen fit my ears perfectly but these feel bulkier and less secure. The MagSafe case is the only real improvement. Save your money and wait for the next generation.
